Poultry egg is an important source of protein with high demand in Nigeria. According to National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) report (2019), egg production in Nigeria is about 47% of the national egg requirement which is grossly inadequate to meet the demand for egg consumption and therefore creates a huge gap.
