Sample BIP for Broiler Production
Poultry enterprise includes broilers production for meat, hen production for eggs, as well as processing and marketing of the poultry products. In Nigeria, poultry production is by far less than poultry consumption. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO START (2018) reported that Nigeria produces 650,000 tons of eggs and 300,000 tons of chicken meat representing 40% of the demand. Out of this output a village farmer produces 30% of the total production.
