VCIP on Aquaculture Production

This VCIP is developed to solve the challenges faced by members of this cluster, by introduction of probiotic fish feed as against the conventional feed. Probiotic feed has been found to play a beneficial role in the ecosystem of the fish gastrointestinal tract, by enhancing growth performance and other rearing parameters such as feed conversion ratio, digestibility and body composition . Fish fed on probiotic feed attain table size faster while percentage mortality is drastically reduced.

The project objective is to strengthen and increase the quantity of smoked fish by COS AQUACULTURE SUPPORT SERVICES by 75%, and also strengthen fish processing system with a view to ensuring that fish investment attain an exportable status within the project life.
