Nigeria Agriculture Promotion Policy – APP (2016 – 2020)
The Agricultural Promotion Policy (APP) is a build up on the Agricultural Transformation Agenda - ATA (2011-2016). The purpose of this policy document, the APP also known as the "Green Alternative" is to provide a disciplined approach to building an agribusiness ecosystem that will solve the gaps identified in the ATA. Under the APP, the private sector will remain in the lead while government facilitates, as well as provides supporting infrastructure, systems, control processes, and oversight.
