The Kano State Government through the Federal Government of Nigeria received a credit from the International Development Association (herein referred to as IDA Bank) to implement the Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Improvement Support (APPEALS) Project. The project concept is rightly embodied in the idea of transforming small subsistence farmers' production system (farming 1-5 ha) into a market-oriented agricultural undertaking, and supporting middle size farmers (5-10 ha) through addressing the constraints that hinder their effective participation in the value chains.

Kaduna State APPEALS Project IPMP Report

The Integrated Pest Management Plan (IPMP) aims at complementing the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) and other safeguards instruments of the project. It covered the existing national and international legislations on the use of chemicals for pest management.
