This document captures the success story of how the introduction & adoption of Faro 44 rice and line planting has helped to improve yields in flood and draught prone areas in Koton Karfe, Kogi state. About 60% of the people in Koton Karfe community are predominately rice farmer¬¬¬¬¬s and rice farming is their major means of livelihood. Before the intervention of APPEALS Project, they traditionally planted local rice varieties that were short grain, late maturing and susceptible to diseases.
