The Use Of Bridellia Ferruginea For Pest Control In Cashew
This document captures the lessons learnt on pest management using Bridelia Ferruginea in Cashew Production.. Mr. Ipinjaro Jacob, a member of Advocate Multi- purpose Cooperative Society and a host of other small-scale cashew farmers in Mopa/Isanlu cluster have for a long time used Bridelia Ferruginea locally known as Ira tree in the western part of Kogi state for pest management. Even though cashew farmers in Kogi state account for about 100 metric tonnes, the largest production from any state in Nigeria Daily Trust (January 20th, 2019), the problems arising from pests affect improving cashew yield in Kogi and across Nigeria.
