TOMATO Greenhouse Technology Demonstration in collaboration with NIHORT and TERRA-TIGA

A three-day demonstration on greenhouse installation and Practices was conducted to 350 (200 Males: 150 Females) farmers at Bagauda Fisheries institute (Demo plot Site). Among them were 5 people with disability. The participants were enlightened on the numerous benefits of greenhouse technology, the profit to be accrued and Maximum number of plants it can comfortably contain. He further stated that the tunnel size (24 x 8m) contains 6 beds of 2 rows making 12 rows. The intra-row spacing of 60cm will give a plant population of 480. How Cluster Farming Addressed Post-Harvest Losses in Rice

The document "How cluster farming addressed post-harvest losses and improved rice farmers’ income in Bugau, Kura Local Government Area, Kano State" is a "Lesson Learnt" during the implementation of the APPEALS Project in Kano State. AS a result of the project intervention, farmers at Bugau Rice production cluster begun to have improvement in yield due to reduction in post-harvest loses.
