Essentially, these conflicts are primarily driven by a competition for land, water, and forage, but there are also political and socioeconomic factors involved. The main issue is about how these natural resources are managed and allocated. Farmers and pastoralists are both victims and actors in these conflicts, just as well as other diverse interest groups.
