Summary

The Kano State Coordination Office of the Agro-processing, Productivity Enhancement, and Livelihood Improvement Support Project (APPEALS) organized a 3-day Sensitization Workshop for some carefully selected 450 Producers, Processors and Marketers Associations/Groups form various Local Government Areas of the State that are engaged in the Production, Processing and Marketing of Rice, Wheat and Tomato in the State. The workshop conducted in three batches of 150 participants each was organized with the aim of sensitizing the participants on the how to develop and enter into agreement in the form of a Memorandum of Action and Agreement (MoAA) as provided by the Project under an off-taker arrangement.

At the end of the meeting, the participants were enlightened on off-taker, out-grower, cluster formation as well as the steps involved in the development of MoAA at both CIG and Cluster levels respectively.
