Summary

The Kano State Coordination Office of the Agro-processing, Productivity Enhancement, Livelihood Improvement Support (APPEALS) Project organized a 1-day meeting with 120 Participants (75 Males and 45 Females) carefully selected Producers, Processors and Marketers Associations/Groups engaged in the identified priority value chains of the Project (Rice, Tomato and Wheat) with the Nigeria Incentive-based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NISARL), Gezawa Commodity Market Ltd and ACDI-VOCA on the establishment of business alliances.

The meeting had presentations on:

  • “Opportunities available at the Gezawa Commodity Market Ltd. To Producers, Processors and Marketers of Rice and Wheat in Kano State”
  • “NIRSAL as the primary platform for managing agribusiness risk in Nigeria”
