Types of gender-based violence include female infanticide; child sexual abuse; sex trafficking and forced labor; sexual coercion and abuse; neglect; domestic violence; elder abuse; and harmful traditional practices such as early and forced marriage, “honor” killings, and female genital mutilation/cutting. All forms of GBV are costly and negatively impact economic growth and poverty reduction efforts (WHO 2004). VAW and IPV have been the subject of extensive efforts to measure costs to individuals, households, and nations. Technology Demonstration on farm operations, using motorized hand-held cutter and harvesting equipment for Rice, Tomato and Wheat.

The three 3-day technology demonstration was conducted to 600 farmers across all value chains of rice, tomato and wheat, out of which 300 farmers (male: 256, female: 44) were from rice production. The demonstration showed the use of rice/wheat cutting machine etc. A total of 150 farmers (male: 87, female: 63) were drawn from tomato production, they were shown the use of weeding machine.
