Summary
Thirty-Four (34) tomato producer Commodity Interest Groups (CIGs) having received Technical Assistance from the State Coordinating Office (SCO) developed a fundable Value Chain Investment Plans (VCIPs) for the adoption of improved tomato production using Greenhouse technology. The VCIPs were after review sent to the Bank by the SCO through the National Coordinating Office (NCO) for the Bank’s No Objection.
Having received the No Objection to support 34 CIGs with 102 tomato greenhouses (3 per CIG), the SCO facilitated the implementation process by verifying The registration of the CIGs with the State Ministry of Commerce; The CIGs are in tomato production activities for at least 2years; Have a land for erecting 3 greenhouses and Readiness to adopt the earlier demonstrated Greenhouse production technologies.
